House Paint 101: What Finish Where, and Why

This article is meant to shed light on the basics of paint products, and how to choose a house finish when faced with the plethora of brand names and lines of paint in the marketplace. Painting with what? Paint has been around for a long time, but it has changed dramatically in its formulation, especially in recent decades. Paint had been made with lead for centuries, up until it became known as hazardous.
